One-on-One Mentoring

The Faculty of Color Mentorship Program (FOCMP) offers one-on-one mentoring to all faculty of color at the university who would like to serve as mentors or who would like to be mentored by other FOC colleagues.

An opportunity to be a mentor is open to all full-time faculty of color in tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant professor or above who are in the third year of teaching at Metropolitan State University. Selection and assignment are made by the program committee based on the faculty member’s expressed interest to participate in the mentoring program and specific needs. Time spent on one on one mentoring will be mutually determined by the parties (mentor and mentee).

All full-time faculty of color in tenure-track positions at Metropolitan State University who would like to have a mentor for the purpose of the faculty member’s professional and career development plan can apply for a mentor. The selection and assignment of a mentor is made by the program committee based on the faculty member’s expressed interest and needs.

Interested faculty can ask for application forms through their respective college representation on the program committee or contact FOCMP Program Coordinator at Nantawan.lewis@metrostate.edu.
